It is fight night for CES MMA 47 and Greg “Ribz” Rebello (22-8) of Tri-Force MMA and Sityodtong Boston will take center stage as the main even of the evening. Squaring off against Derrick Brown (7-3) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Rebello is prepared and focused on earning his 23rd career win.

Rebello and Brown, each light for the heavyweight division, offer a combination of speed, power and skills that will quickly earn the respect of each corner. Brown, a rising heavyweight prospect, pales in comparison to the experience of Rebello, but Brown will not be counted out.

“My opponent is an athletic striker with a very elusive style,” says Rebello. “He is well-rounded with a ground game to. He is only ten or so fights into his career, but has an amateur background. He has more than enough experience, but he hasn’t had any big fights like me.”

Training out of multiple facilities throughout his camps, Rebello maintains a dynamic style refined by the best specialists in the New England area. “This has been a great eight week camp. Everyone in the gym has or had fights. The energy was great,” explains Rebello. “I never change camps or anything. I add some different training in. I trained at Tri-Force MMA, Juniko, Sityodtong Boston and at Lauzon’s for this camp.”

Maintaining his focus, Rebello’s camp has been intelligent training and diligent work. Tailoring his game plan to manipulate that of an elusive striker, Rebello is prepared for Brown. “I brought in a group of elusive southpaws to simulate his style,” says Rebello. “I brought in Fabio Cherant, Tommy Lee Davis, Mike Rodriguez and Yorgan Castro. I've also sparred a bunch with Lion Fight Champion, Chip Pollard. These guys all simulate a better version of Brown.”
